The shadows on the wall of the bedroom flickered in the night air, accompanied by the rustle of fabric. Then gentle hum of blade and flash of moonlight sliced through the air. The cream colored fabric on the bed dissolved into a shade of crimson.The gentle calm was harshly shattered by a sudden intrusion of light. The shadow crouched on the ground. An arrow flew in its direction and it sprang away. Several arrows followed the shadow continued to tumble through the air on the ground. Reaching the window it slipped over the edge. Twisting in the air it landed and sped through the night and back alleys stumbling in the woods. Collapsing in a bramble of bushes it tried to pull itself together again.Her heart pounded deafeningly in her ears, keeping her mouth covered to suppress her gasps of breath. The muscles in her body aches for more air as she tried to focus on her surroundings.
